LB-1 Banjolynn

$575.00

Our interpretation of the traditional, all-wood mountain folk banjo has been a hit from the get-go. Super light and responsive, LB-1 works exactly like a full-scale banjo, but sounds much more unique, with a rich, glittering sustain. It also tends to stay solidly in tune!

The reason for this stability is that a sculpted, through-neck anchors the entire drive chain from top to bottom. The invisible, recessed tailpiece secures the strings through the body without snagging arm-skin or sweater sleeves.

The Norway Spruce soundboard of superb stiffness and tone comes from the Ashland Estate in Lexington, from trees originally planted by Henry Clay himself in the 1830s. The Loretty Banjolynn comes equipped with nickel Grover Sta-tites but can be fitted with Kluson Prestige tuners upon request. Also, please note wood choice for neck/back/sides can vary from time to time. Currently, we are shipping Maple Banjolynns. If you have a question about a particular wood species, please contact us before ordering.

While we furnish a handmade, drawstring bag for each one they will also travel nicely in any standard 5-string banjo case or gig bag.

Note before purchasing: Our banjolynns are made-by-hand. While we try to keep these items in stock, sometimes that may not be the case. Lead times for these instruments are usually about 1-2 weeks. You will be notified via email if this is the case for your order.
